STATEMENT ON TRANSFER  OF BIOLOGICAL MATERIAL FROM PORTUGUESE BIOSCKIN BANK TO FAMICORD GROUP

FamiCord Group informs you that under the agreement between former  service provider and FamiCord Group, at the beginning of 2019, containers with the biological material of about 98% of the biological material have been safely transported from local facilities to the biggest of the FamiCord Group laboratory located in Warsaw, Poland.

Until now a very small part of the biological material has been also stored at Biosckin, Portugal. Those samples were mostly collected in 2019 and processed either in Switzerland or in Portugal. Understanding the importance of providing consistent information and same conditions to all clients Biosckin decided to accept FamiCord’s Group offer of taking over the storage of those samples.

During  the transfer of the samples which happened in the 2nd week of May and was conducted by a group of FamiCord’s experts, all the standards and requirements for the transportation of biological material were kept. The entire process has been fully documented including among the others continuous temperature monitoring.

Now all the clients who were looking for information about their sample can check it at FamiCord Group. To obtain this information it is mandatory to register on  https://www.famicordcryobank.ch/contact-for-clients-of-the-former-service-provider/check-your-sample. Currently we are continuing to manually inspect all the samples we have in our inventory. That process goes however slower due to pandemic situation and will be completed this quarter.

The clients who register at https://www.famicordcryobank.ch/ website may decide to continue the storage of their biological material with FamiCord Group at no additional cost
